The Technical Sales – Industrial pumps position is responsible for supporting the engineers with order processing and assisting customers with technical inquires. This individual works with customers throughout order process ensuring customer’s satisfaction with product.
Essential Functions:
• Support Application Engineer in determining Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) customer needs for applications
• Quotes customers on parts using in house quoting system
• Process customers’ orders using Syspro
• Utilize Content Central document management software to ensure proper order flow from start of order through delivery to customer
• Communicates with sister companies to ensure delivery of product
• Work with OEM customers to ensure product meets application needs
• Provide technical assistance
• Maintains industrial spare parts inventory
• Checks incoming industrial orders for quality and accuracy (Quality Control)

Job Requirements:
• High school diploma or GED diploma and two to three years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Education and Experience:
• 3- 5 years’ experience working with small industrial centrifugal and peripheral turbine pumps
• Ability to read product diagrams
• Portion of experience should be in account management of OEM customers.
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Previous experience with an ERP system. Syspro would be a plus.
• Strong communication, math and teamwork skills
• Customer Service experience
• PC Experience
Supervisory Responsibility:
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment:
This job operates in a professional office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
Physical Demands:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday and varies for employees but is approximately 8 hours long with shifts between 8:30 am. to 5:00 pm.
