Job Title : Customer Service Representative
(Pool Pump Division)

About Job :

The customer service representative services new and existing commercial accounts and consumers.

Essential Functions:
• Responds to customers inquiries regarding products. Provides technical product assistance.
• Resolves product or service problems by clarifying the customer’s complaint; determining the cause of the problem; selecting and explaining the best solution to solve the problem; expediting correction or adjustment; following up to ensure resolution.
• Maintains customer records by updating account information.
• Responds to email requests for information.
• Completes required mailings to manufacturer representatives and customers.
• Assists in the coordination of trade shows and industry events.
• Enters and processes customer returned merchandise authorizations. Responds to customers inquiries on new or existing RMAs.
• Maintaining professionalism, diplomacy, sensitivity, and tact to portray the company in a positive manner.
• Prepares, processes, reviews and monitors various documents such as contracts and other documents.
• Assists customers and arranges payment terms in accordance with established guidelines.
• Performs in a manner that will prevent errors and omissions.
• Creates and maintains computer files and suspense for follow-up action.
• Provides advisory support and assistance to the department supervisor as needed.
• Providing product quotes to customers as needed.
• Provides administrative assistance and support.

Job Requirements:
• High school diploma or GED diploma and two to three years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Pool Industry experience a plus.
• Planning, organization, and critical thinking skills.
• Valid Driver’s License in good standing.
• Presentation Skills and Technical Capacity.

Preferred Education and Experience:
• Associate degree
• Customer Service experience
• PC Experience

Supervisory Responsibility:
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment:
This job operates in a professional office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Physical Demands:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday and varies for employees but is approximately 8 hours long with shifts between 9 am. to 5:30 pm.
Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
