Job Title : Receiving / Inventory Associate

About Job :

The Receiving/ Inventory Associate is overall responsible for the company inventory and is responsible for ensuring all goods received are accurately recorded and signed.

Essential Functions:

• Check in goods and materials as they are delivered by vendors and/or any other delivery service.
• Assists customers when they arrive to pick up pumps and parts.
• Verify items and quantities to match packing list, report, and discrepancies to purchasing or management.
• Unload containers and truck shipments.
• Stage parts sampling for inspection and assist quality control as necessary.
• Tag and put away parts or components rotating down old stock to be used first.
• Consolidate material as necessary while maintaining FIFO concept and historical information.
• Receives new products into the warehouse and processes it into the inventory data base.
• Receives incoming RMA’s and notifies warranty rep. and places in designated area.
• Ensure quarantined material is properly marked, counted, and stored away from inventory.
• Conducts product cycle counts.
• Ensures that product is correctly located in the warehouse and in the inventory system.
• Maintain and operate forklifts in accordance with safety regulations.
• Assist in pulling parts for work orders and prepping all assembly lines when needed.
• Maintain material levels at assembly lines as necessary.
• Assist in sweeping and maintaining warehouse floors.
• Assist with special projects as directed.
• Must have the ability to lift up to 75 pounds as necessary.
• Requires basic math skills and legible handwriting.
• Adhere to all company policies as outlined in the employee handbook.
• Works closely with Quality Control Engineer and Purchasing Manager with inventory structure, new set up and procedures.

Supervisory Responsibility:
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to vibration. The employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and in high, precarious places and is occasionally exposed to the risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually very loud. The environment is subject to extreme variations in temperature.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand. The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls and to climb or balance. The employee is occasionally required to walk; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; and talk or hear.

Ability to lift and move up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position. Hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:00a.m. to 3:30 p.m., 40 hours per week.

Travel:
No travel is expected for this position.

Required Education and Experience:
• High school diploma or GED.
• One year of related experience.
• Forklift Certified
• 2 + years Computer Experience & receiving software a plus.

Preferred Education and Experience:
• ERP software proficiency.
